I keep seeing comments from fans saying they thought the Everton game would be a turning point. Let me remind you of a few things: 1. We LOST the game 2. We conceded FIVE goals in the game 3. It was a cup game with internationals on display. It's not unusual for lower league teams to pick themselves up for such ties, to compete with better players in a temporary clash. 4. We LOST the game. It was a great battling display but not at all a season-defining moment. I guess it shows how bad we've been this season as it's the only match I can actually remember this season and I've watched about six other games live.
I think people are frustrated as many see it like Marc says. Play without fear and have a go. We lost yes. We conceded 5 as you pointed out. But we don't play internationals every week to that level. Fans are bored (it seems) and so am I. I'm not fighting my kid any more for him to go to games. It's all he has known and he can make his own mind up. The only real time he got "the bug" was under flicker where we had no choice but to go all out for wins. That is all we (I think this refers to most) want. Go for it. None of this "football chess" as it is being referred to
I just don't get it. I really don't. Yet again, another manager appears to have come in, professed to understand what the fans want, then fallen into the trap of deciding to do things his way, after all. How fcukin hard can it be? So frustrating, watching it happen time and again. Now we're bang in trouble. Again. The manager is losing his way. The fans are on his back. The owner has put his balls on the line, and he's on a 3yr deal, that will cost another shed loada money to get out of **** me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
