The blame for Hume's injury lies fairly and squarely on Morgan's shoulder.
No, D'Urso didn't protect the players, yes he should have red-carded Morgan but every player must saccept full responsibility for his own actions.
Morgan is 100% to blame for the injury on Hume, to suggest anything different is to let Morgan off the hook.

The ref was made aware of the fact that elbows were being put in - he did nothing. He has massive responsibility in all of this.

I know what you are saying zetland but this wasn't the 1st incident involving Morgan. Hume had got laid out around 10 minutes before and spoke to the Ref about it. Then you had Morgan aiming a jab at Moore whilst Rugby tackling him!

The ref needs to be big enough to deal with these things. I would expect D'Urso to be under review following this.

I'm not supporting D'Urso. What I'm saying is we can't get into a mind set whereby a player can be culpable of a horrendous act but the 'blame' for this act can somehow be put on someone else.
D'Urso's performance was crap and the guy needs along rest but Morgan must accept full respponsibility for what he did.

if ,if,D'urso had took action on the elbowing previous to this the situation it would have not escalated into this.
players would be made aware of there boundaries and proceeded with a little more caution .

Morgan should be dealt with and cannot be excused on any level I agree, but imho had D'Urso been better at his job, this incident may not have happened.

The main focus should be on Morgan and his club. In Morgan, Sheff. U. have a player who is capable of DELIBERATELY inflicting a life-threatening injury on another player.
Of secondary importance is the ability, or lack of it, of D'Urso.
Discussion about D'Urso deflect attention away from the main issue - Morgan

Like the rest of us players must accept 100% responsibility for their own actions.
    Do you not agree?

Morgan is 100% to blame for the actual assault

However, D'Urso's actions were cowardly and irresponsible and must not be allowed to be swept under the carpet by the F.A., Keith Hackett or anyone else for that matter.

    By not sending him off

D'Urso has effectively endorsed Morgan's action.
