....speculating, criticising, berrating and undermining the club and the board.
Most of the stuff on here could actually constitute a slander/libel case.
We are all fans, that goes without saying, and we all have our own opinions about the season so far and how we would like to go about putting it right, but to criticise the board and/or the manager, in public view of anyone with access to the interweb is, in my own humble, but not yet correct opinion, ludicrous.
Okay, so the season isn't turning out as anyone would have wished, but, is there anyone out there that thinks we would be at the top of the table this early in the season?
Who, if any of you out there, predicted anything more than mid table this season?
There is one member that I know of that predicted that we would be safe by Christmas and have mid table security by the end of February.
You want to know who that member is?
TYKE001...............ME!!!!
As you will be aware, I am wrong, and it's not the first time either.
But I am a fan of Barnsley Football Club. Yes I work for them and I feel privelidged to do so but it doesn't stop me form being annoyed when things don't go the way that I want them.
That, is out of my hands, and out of yours too.
Please don't ridicule, or criticise the management, staff or the board. They do what they feel is right. It may not be what you, or I, feel is right but if you want to change things then put your money where your mouth is and get yourself onto the Board Of Directors, where you will be more than welcome to put forward your ideas regarding Barnsley Football Club.
Season tickets cost a lot. I know, I had one for 17 years before I joined Oakwell AM, but think about other clubs that don't have the promise that we do. Clubs that are looking to go out of business altogether, such as Darlington, Chester City, Carlisle United and Chelsea (sorry!, just had a bit if fun there, many apologies ot Chester City!). Just because I bought a serason ticket for all that time doesn't give me the God given right to expect success every season.
If we stay up, we stay up!
If we go down, we go down!
There is no inbetween!
I hope that I'll see some of you in London on Saturday.
email me at : andrewfirth1@btinternet.com or send me a PM
Let me know where you are drinking on Saturday and I'll try and get there.
You Reds!!!!
Tyke001 (Andy Firth - Oakwell1575AM)
Slag me off if you wish - I DON'T CARE!

What the hell !!!!..........are you advocating football without having any opinions What is football about if its not about opinions (dunno)
Andy I am not sufficiently wealthy enough to be on the board but I think I am reasonably articulate and thoughtful to have an opinion. I am going to voice that opinion and I will defend the right of anyone to voice theirs providing their views are not slanderous.
I like Andy Ritchie and I've always supported The Chairman, but I thought last night's radio interview was, can I say, ill judged.
When a respected chairman courts public opinion then he surely must expect the public to have an opinion.
The days of 'tugging your forelock' have thankfully gone.
If have misinterpreted what you said, then sorry, just think free speech is for everyone.

Exactly........... People talk about having an opinion.
I voice my opinion and get hauled over the coals for it.
I don't have a problem with any opinion from anyone on this board, on any subject, aimed at any person within or outside the Club (and that includes myself).
I am not saying that anyone is wrong with anytihng that they have said in response but my original post has proved one thing........have a go and criticise, whether it be this board, the BFC board or anyone's right to post something that they feel should be said, and people will always tell you that you are out of order!
All I wanted to do was to say what I felt at the moment (highly annoyed and upset).
I voiced an opinion and, to the people that I have upset, I apologise! It seems as though my decision to press 'submit' was a wrong one!
Anyone for Sudoku? Now that is something that I am good at (and Karkuro!)
Apologies............
Andy Firth
P.S..........so who wants a pint down at Palace?

RE: Andy
Dave,
I didn't hear the interview mate (was at a friends wedding reception) so I have no idea what was said. I would however, be interseted to get a copy (even if abridged) of the transcript.

Andy....... We actually pay money to watch Barnsley. Unlike you who gets paid to watch us no doubt as it's your job. So maybe we speak what your too afraid to say unless you cannot get a interview or special privlages due to your outspoken comments. I reckon if you didn't work some of the time at Oakwell. And was actually a season ticket holder or "normal" fan like the rest of us. That your comments would not have been so kiss ass. What you think Nudger ?
RE: Andy....... give the man a break please !!!! Do we have to resort to insults all the time ????
Today people have been called fucwits muppets etc just for having a different view !!!
What qualifies someone to have an opinion ? To go to every match home and away ? All home matches ? Some home matches ?
This board is supposed to be an open forum, if we continue with the insults it will drive people away.
