i've been reading in the papers and internet about what we should do to protect our way of life and I think the following are all good ideas that ive seen.

    - All telephones should be tapped
    - All Email and web traffic should be recorded and watched.
    - More CCTV Cameras should be installed - especially in peoples homes.
    - ID Cards should be made compulsory - and shown on demand, with on the spot fines for breaking the law and prison for repeat offences
    - Random Stop-and-Search implemented
    - Neighbours, family members and work colleagues should be encouraged to watch, and where appropriate, report to the police each other's behaviour.
    - Police powers to search anyone's house they suspect of illegal activities without a warrant or without having to get prior permission to break in.
    - Build more prisons
    - Anyone running from police should be considered a possible terrorist as if you have nowt to hide you won't run.
    - Harsher sentencing for everything
    - News and reporting to be shown only on a "need to know" basis as determined by the government/PM
    - Get shot of trial by jury - let the government choose a judge to look at all the evidence and make a
    decision, for all court cases.
    - Life in jail without trial if anyone's guilt cannot be proven but there is some doubt they are innocent.
    - Public hangings of convicted terrorists
    - Torture to be made legal in the UK and evidence given up under torture anywhere in the world to be made legal in UK courts
    - Protesting against the government to be made possible only in special "free speech" zones controlled by the police and government for the safety of protesters and MP's
    - Attack countries who don't crack down on terrorism
