Totally baffled by that. Had a feeling Davey would pick a daft line up today and he hasn't let me down.
It's either 4 5 1 with Hassell or Van Hoemet in midfield or it's 5 4 1 with Hassell as sweeper??
How the **** are we going to hold the ball up front with Coulson as lone striker....Jeeeez.
    Sorry but a tonking beckons.

Yeah, we had a bit size about us earlier in the season - but the team seems to lack balance at the moment.

It is a bit strange, but, nice to see Coulson start and Mostto and Stan dropped. I would hope Christianson would come on at sometime.

Bad memories of Colchester selection two years ago

Looks as tough the idea is to stifle Rangers and keep them at bay for at least the first hour and then bring on 'fire-power' in the form of Ferenczi and Odejayi in the hope of winning it late on. I can't ever recall this principle working for us and it has occasionally gone disastrously wrong. Colchester away with Ritchie's four full backs and two central defenders was an earlier example. We kept coming under pressure, because there was no obvious 'out-ball' for us to play. We went one-nil down and it could have been a lot more. By the time Shuker and Conlon were brought on to change the balance and style of play, it was too late.

If we concede a goal in the first half hour, we will risk getting spanked. If it works and we hold them to 0-0 with ten minutes to go and Odejayi nets from a blistering break-away run, then we will all say what a sound tactician Davey is. I think today's selection is high-risk, but I hope it works.

Don't you just know this is going to be an afternoon to forget! I wonder how quickly Davey will stick with this formation. Can he afford to let us keep soaking uo pressure while still 1-0 down? One change needed at least within the first half hour, I would think, unless he thinks we can hit back on the break away.
