Could well be the deciding factor as to who is in the play-offs and who automatically promoted. I this case, we stand a good chance. I don't think the Southend squad has great depth if there are injuries and suspensions, nor Colchester, Brentford, Huddersfield. If it comes down to this, we could see some of the form teams start to slip up and we could hold a steady course into the automatic slot. Two points dropped on Tuesday looks a bit expensive, but wait and see whose nerve and squad holds out best. We look strong to me.

I'd agree with most of that

I'm not entirely convinced that we have enough strength in depth in defence.

Most of our defensive cover seems to me to comprise of playing other players out of position. What happens when injuries/suspensions stop us from doing that?

    But...

...we had the chance to strengthen our squad with a battling midfielder and Ritchie 'didn't feel like it was the right thing to do'. Very silly. A club should always be looking to strengthen, especially as the promotion run-in looms. I hope we don't live to regret this lack of ruthlessness.
