The club have refused to name the player who was released by a top premier league club early this summer as other clubs are interested, they are hoping to make a decision this weekend or early next week.

I would doubt it.....would he leave the South East to join BFC and does he have the Flicker "fighting character"?

I have no idea who it could be, so your guess is as good as mine mate.

Where Brian Mahoneys Waist leads, others follow.:D Perhaps the likes of the Chronicle, Radio Sheffield and The Star should make him their man 'in the know'.

There's only really Radio Sheff that seems to be 'in the know' these days, The Chronicle and Star just recycle stories.

Brian Mahoneys Waist might be their contact! I think some of Radio Sheffield's tweets and it's audioboo's have been very informative and entertaining this close season.
However, if the player in question ISN'T young Cofie, then BM'sW is rubbish!:D

Cofie is 20, so that is very early 20's.

If it is Cofie - Shrewsbury didn't offer him a deal, he hasn't pulled up any trees while on loan...sounds like we've already got a better young striker in Danny Rose.

Know a few Sheff u fans and none of them rated him. Would rather we use RNL and Rose in front of Cofie. Probably not him anyway

Rose could be brilliant with a run of games, it's just can we afford to risk playing him for a sustained period if he doesn't end up delivering? Bit of time on loan somewhere could be good for him.

Well just looking at the PFA transfer list, and here's all the early 20's strikers just released by premier league clubs that they have listed.

    Richard Peniket (20) Fulham
    Nigel Oldfield Spence-Neita (20) Arsenal
    John Cofie (20) Man Utd
    Ryan Noble (21) Sunderland
    Nathaniel Jarvis (21) Cardiff

That's it. Chances is, it'll be John Cofie, as Flicker says a 'top' premier league club.

Messing about on twitter during a trial isn't going to do him any favours!
