Hayes level top scorer in Championship.
Richards level second and level top in open play.
Barnsley clear top scorers in Division.

Yeah, I know not everything in the garden's rosy just yet but it was the strikers who were singled out as the weak link pre-season and it's funny how it's turned out. A couple of goals against Stoke is nothing to be sniffed at - they'd only conceded four in five games before yesterday.

We also need our midfielders to work at getting back into Position to help the defence.

It will come , everything takes a bit of work.

I am happy to be scoring goals though , it looks as though the pre-season was very good for out forwards but not so good for the defence.

Yes was'nt trying to be funny by the way, it just irks me that we keep gifting the opposition goals by either switching off or by defenders 'going missing', its scary sometimes how they drift into stupid positions leaving opposition players acres of space (sometimes even the bugger with the ball).I def. feel that an experienced centrehalf who has good organisational abilities would be a great help. It also still baffles me how its possible look back on a game and think that individually they had good games but then think back over different moves and as a unit at times they sucked!!.Also still concerned that a couple of injuries or suspensions will leave us well and truly shagged.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

Couple of Stoke fans I was speaking to last night reckon that we're a match for any team in the division going forward, but they hadn't seen a defence so naive in a long time.

    Still not good enough

As strikers Richards and Hayes were very poor again yesterday. Yes Hayes scored but it was pretty much the only thing that he touched in the box for 90 minutes.

They dont link up well together at all. Hayes playes too deep and Richards isn't good enough at playing off him.

Both individually good players but as a partnership they dont work. It's interesting that we scored two after Richards had gone off.
