Since we will be no doubt underwhelmed / lifted only for hopes to be smashed on the rocks of dismay, Which has been the most disappointing striker signing and the most surprisingly good one over the years. Bad - Don Goodman Good - Bruce Dyer for example
The obvious was is Vaz Te. Ferenczi was suprisingly good too. Barry Conlon was absolute *****. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
Gary O Connor was nowhere near as good as he should have been. Jay Rod and Walters offered very little for us but have gone on to be very successful.
Bad- Tommy Wright Good- agree regarding Stan, could have got another couple of seasons out of him aswel
No one and I mean no one was worse than Leon Knight, made Deon Burton look like Shearer David Currie best signing, will never see his like again.
No one will convince me that O'Connor didn't take something at half time of that Leeds game. Couldn't trap a ball, yet looked a world beater 2nd half.
Mostto was £450k of something amazing. What did Kim Christensen cost? Saw him score though at Charlton
Mostto was disappointing. I remember watching him on Youtube after he signed and he looked Amazing. And then what about Mido? Ferenczi was good. Bogdanovich too.
Always liked David Currie. MIDI has to be the worst for me. Had high hopes for Lita but he Also has to be on my worst list
Surprisingly good - Shipperley. I had never been that fussed when I'd seen him prior to us getting him. Turned out to be my favourite ever striker. Surprisingly bad - Richard Naylor. Always looked a handful and scored goals when I'd seen him, turned up at Oakwell and I don't recall him having a ******* shot in about 8 games, in fact he rarely moved, the idle basterd. Unsurprisingly good - Winnall. Unsurprisingly bad - Leon ******* Knight.
