How many do we actually need, are the ones we got gonna be good enough. We seem to be quantity over quality at moment

It's open to debate on here whether or not Winnall will be good/quick enough for the championship

was surprised at the signing of Lee Elliott yesterday. Does it mean we arnt bothering with fletcher? Are we still in for Bradshaw

Tuton and Payne are both 24 so can't be considered ones for the future.

if we do bring in more than we are are going to have s lot of strikers to try and keep happy. There's also the possibility of Moncour playing striker too.

I'd say we only have Winnall ready for the championship and even he's unproven. Same for moncur as a support striker.

Need a big squad now, with the new loan rules.

I believe Winnall will be able to score goals in the Championship and don't see any logic in an argument claiming he won't. However, I feel we'll bring in another striker before the season starts. The new rules governing loan deals being brought in for 2016/17 means that most clubs will probably carry a larger squad by the end of the Summer transfer window than they have in previous seasons.

The non league strikers coming in are a cheap gamble. We've seen non league players flourish at other clubs. If we sign 4 and one comes off that will do for me

Other than slight concerns about pace I think Sam will be fine.

Tut on couldn't get a game in league 1 so no chance in Championship

    Re: Fletcher...

Chris Martin and Darryl Murphy are two of the slowest strikers I've ever clapped eyes on. Both scored **** loads of goals in the Championship. Because they're terrific finishers. It's a myth anyway, this idea that Winnall's not got pace. Don't recall too many other forwards running from their own half to score, on more than one occasion last season. And for a smallish lad, he wins headers he shouldn't. 24 goals and 8 assists was it last season? Even if that halves to 12 goals and 4 assists, it'd be a decent return this coming season.

I think the likes of Tuton, Payne and Jackson are cheap gambles. The emergency loan window has gone now. And our academy hasn't produced a striker since Fallon really. And he wasn't up to much. You can't count Danny Rose. He only played about 5 games. So again, another reason to add a few.

Looks as if Winnall, Watkins, Moncur and Lee will be first teamers. Only one of them is an actual, proper striker. So I'm expecting at least one more addition. And a proven quantity. As in Fletcher or Bradshaw.

Winnall isn't lacking pace.Watch Whiteys video.Several times he as defenders in his wake unable to get to him.Quick on his feet and quick of mind in the box.

I'll watch him in Sprints. He's not very quick at all. Bree jogging past him last season.

    Re: Fletcher...

You don't have to be quick to score goals. Sam reminds me of Kevin Philips though a little less clinical. In League 1 Sam was able to beat defenders through speed of thought and movement. championship defenders are better but I would still expect him to score plenty.

    Forgot about Watkins :).

I think Winnall will score goals but its been said many times on here to cash in now as he wont be good enough, or he's too slow

I think if we sign Fletcher we'll be set for strikers. Either him or Winnall will make the step up, and the other will still be a useful player. Watkins and Lee on the bench. Jackson and Payne there if needed. I think Tuton will be off
