So G Struber will discuss his contract after the end of the season. Would you want him to continue as head coach in the event we are relegated? Sounds like he may go if we are Morais style. Hope we aren't relegated of course but time will tell.

Would like him to stay. Think he’s done a pretty good job based on the shitshow he took over. Can see him wanting to leave if we go down though.

I think the likely outcome is pretty clear cut no matter what the preference of individual supporters are .... if we go down , he will leave and if we pull off the great escape then he stays.

I think he will be gone when we go down as will a lot of our foreign players.

We can’t afford to let him go.
    A brilliant manager.
Club has said they want him to stay whatever.
As far as I’m concerned we are already relegated.

For me we keep him regardless, we cant keep switching managers. I'd hoped we were going to produce something of a production line when we appointed Daniel, with maybe Dale Tonge filling his shoes in time .

He seems like a good bloke. We could do a lot worse.

Thought he signed on 21/2 year deal?
If so unless we have a relegation clause which basically says if we go down we sack you and you get F all, can’t imagine we could pay him off.
Equally, given where we were why would he sign such a contract.
That leaves with conclusion unless he asks to leave he will be here

Not bothered either way, not seen anything to suggest he's up to it so far anyway. I would however like to be proven wrong and hope he's a success and keeps us up.

So why would the subject of end of season contract talks be brought up by GStruber if he looks likely to see his current one out even if we will will /could be relegated.

Sorry arpete but you can't go around saying things like 'the tinternet'. Shows a blatant disregard for our Yorkshire accent.

't'internet' or 'the internet' are acceptable but I'm not having 'the tinternet'

Was it brought up by him?
The article I read, came across as if he was answering.

3 reasons why he should stay:

    1) He’ll know that we’ll be competitive in L1, so it’s a potentially decent season for him. It didn’t do Stendel any harm did it? It’s a real chance of him winning some silverware.

    2) Also, from our side, Struber has agreed a substantial wage deferral. Fair play to him and it’s appreciated. Therefore the right thing to do is stick with him.

    3) Finally, he won’t command the same money he’s on elsewhere. As he’s not achieved anything yet, and, COVID-19 means footballing budgets will be slashed everywhere. I presume he, like the playing squad, will have relegation clauses built in. He’ll still earn more as a L1 manager for us, than he will in Austria as coach.

If he stays in a foreign country during a pandemic away from his wife and kids who aren't with him, to manage us in the third tier when he knows his best players will be sold then get him a medal.

He will be off even if we want him to stay. Sollbauer has made it quite clear in the press that he will be off when we get relegated. It will be a huge squad change.
