Sat next to the Sunderland Chairman at the Brum game. Are they mates, or is there more too it?. TM not been there that long, but the way the game is today who knows.
Yeah he should have done a really interesting crap job and taken us into League 1, rather than save us from the drop. And then leave us and be the only manager who can still have a c.v. that looks presentable.
Wigan getting docked saved us. Fair play to him though he did what was needed but his football was abit boring
I wonder when he decided he wanted to go though. Because something was missing at the start of the next season, and it looked like being a 'relegated in March' sort of season.
Highly doubt he’s getting the Sunderland job, just be taking in some footy I imagine, ie coincidental.
Imho. If Struhber had dropped his mates earlier we'd have avoided the drop much sooner. Radlinger and Ritzmair making way for Walton and Styles who were magnificent when they came in.
Didn't he go running his mouth a bit though, about not getting money to spend on the team, which was of course true!. We were effectively relegated under him points wise, but thankfully Wigan got punished for breaking the rules, and he could have left that summer with his head held high.
Remember this happened to us before, when Portsmouth were punished (in the days of mad Keefy Hill). I wonder if any other club has stayed up like that on two separate occasions, because of other teams getting points deducted ?.
We didn't stay up because of Wigan getting a points deduction they got relegated because of it, they accumulated points all season by breaking the rules & when they were found out they paid the price & we stayed up because we had more points
Ritzmaier wow i forgot about him what a awful player for us. Played terrible for 90 minutes then got picked next game and so on. It was like when your a kid and coach would always pick his son no matter how **** he was.
It was a bit bizarre the way it happened right at the end of the season. But you're right, they were docked the points because they'd broken the rules.
