Most of the BBS comments tonight seem to want the guy out, but his record with BFC deserves a look before too many knee jerk reactions.
Under his management we have put 33 points on the board in 26 games.
That equates to 15th in the table with a goal difference of minus 4
2pts behind Reading in the top half of the table, and 6pts off the relegation zone.
Under his management we have done better than
    Huddersfield
    Bristol City
    Preston North End
    QPR
    Birmingham City
    Sheffield Wednesday
    Luton Town
    Charlton Athletic
    Hull City.

Under him we didn't have the skill knowledge motivation or bottle to win any of the last three must win games he had one job when he came in to keep us up and we are in exactly the same position now as we were when he arrived bottom of the league at no point of his tenure have we been out of the bottom 3.

I don’t want him sacked but I think it should be pointed out that it’s a bit flawed as Hull flogged their best two players in January thinking they had no chance of going down & Birmingham, QPR & Wednesday have looked ‘on the beach’ with nothing to play for since the restart, at least until Wednesday **** themselves over the possible points deduction anyway.

I do NOT want Struber to leave
I have seen enough to realise that we have a fabulous manager at Barnsley and we need to keep him.

Even though it’s been a valiant effort by Struber - ever since his appointment I’ve always thought that it was too big a task to prevent relegation.
The responsibility of a relegation has to be laid at the door of the directors.
They are not as intelligent as what they might think they are.
Decisions regarding sales and recruitment continue to be made that are wrong.
Potts decision nearly cost us promotion (replacement Brown is nowhere near as good).
Moore decision has definitely cost us.
Obviously those decisions were made with good intentions - but they have been found not to be good enough.
The directors MUST take full responsibility and accept that they have to up their game.

I don't really care whether Struber stays or goes because the problem lies not with him but with the Board.

Also we've been lucky on the injuries front too. I said lockdown was of benefit to us. I knew the players had been keeping fit and we were quick out the traps. Problem is, most of the other teams seem to have caught us up now, and playing so many matches is becoming a negative

    He shouldn't be sacked.

I think it's OK to question some of his decisions though.

We were desperate for a goal. We have one prolific goalscorer in the entire squad. He was on the pitch yesterday. In midfield. We didn't move him up front in an attempt to get that desperately needed goal, we took him out of the game. Replaced by someone who scores far fewer goals. He was played up front. Why not just move the guy who scores lots of goals into a position where he might be able to score a goal.

The person I’d like to see moved on is Adam Murray. I can only assume it is his influence that saw Mcgeehan moved on so quickly with Struber barely giving him a chance. I’m not sure whether Struber ever saw Wilks play at all before he was pushed out. Both these would have given us alternatives that we don’t have now

I reckon it’s immaterial whether we want Struber out or not. I wouldn’t mind betting it’s in his contract to leave in the event of us being relegated anyway.
We won’t have as long to search the continent for our next coach with the new season probably only 5/6 weeks away when this one has ended and our relegation is confirmed.

Woodrow played the whole game up front?

He kept dropping deep like he always has for us, but his position was up front with Brown. Chaplin replaced him in a like for like change

I know that's what you believe. I don't. No one I watched the game with did either.

He was playing as a striker for me. And everyone I watched the game with (14 of us) thought the same.

Woodrow hasn't played up front since he scored 2 away at West Brom under Murray.
