... where we took at least a point. Awful tonight. I'm not going to overreact but I'm not going to pretend that was anything other than total *****.
I must admit, when a few in the Ponty started booing their keeper for 'timewasting' near the end, me and my mate were shouting for him to waste a bit more time. We could still be playing now and not scored in that second half. It was defence and attack in that second half and watching our players demonstrating they were totally devoid of any ideas was painful. I wasn't impressed. At least in the second half on Saturday we managed to create a chance (that Cole totally blew), but that second half was woeful. Donny could have got away with playing that chappy from the boyband!
Struggling to think of a game where we were so totally outplayed on our own patch. Donny must be scratching their heads wondering how the hell they didn't win that by 2 or 3 goals. But hey, I'll take a point - I'd certainly have taken it after an hour tonight. I live in hope that things will improve. This season was always going to be marred by inconsistency.
Came out of the ground feeling as though we had been beaten. Doncaster are ******* awful, but they'd have smashed us were it not for Turnbull. It was bloody awful. Eleven strangers out there tonight. These are dark days indeed. We've made Doncaster Rovers and their stunning away contingent of 1397 look like Barcelona, and I am convinced they'll finish bottom half. Woeful, painful, clueless. Bailey was horrendous, and I say this as someone who thinks the criticism of him on here has gone way over the top.
Tonight was abject again but I genuinely don't think it can get any worse. We may see more ***** but in terms of woefully abysmal performances the last two must be our bottom; hopefully.
