Simon Davey will certainly have to prove himself to the fans after yesterday Hopefully , we've appointed Barnsley's equivalent of Adie Boothroyd and not Les Reed .
out of the 13000+ barnsley people in the ground yesterday, only Davey thought williams was the right man for central midfield. That worries me a little.
It could be of course that wroe & heally are on their way out so he couldn't play them.

Optimism is... ... remembering that the appointments of Danny Wilson and Andy Ritchie left me feeling just as underwhelmed. Realism is remembering how underwhelmed I was with the appontments of Paul Hart, Gudjon, Mel Machin, etc.

I can't remember being really excited about the appointment of any manager since Allan Clarke (1st time around).

That's what makes it more shocking Previous to yesterday, I had expected this outcome. With Shepherd being as he is I thought he would go for the cheap option that is Davey, not to mention he will have to do what he is told because GS has given him this opportunity. However, I specifically remember saying to my mate sitting next to me yesterday, "I think Davey's cost himself the job today." A terrible performance I just can't believe they thought today was a good time to announce this. I know they wanted him in before the transfer window so I reckon they wanted a derby win to use a s a reason for his appointment, now they just look like a bunch of fools. Which is incidently what McIndoe will make our defence look like tomorrow...
Mcindoe And Shuker......... have both talked a lot of sense about how our club is run since leaving. Both basically went on about lack of ambition, manager being a yes man etc.
RE: Mcindoe And Shuker......... If AR was a yes man why didnt he say "yes give me some money to sign some players" You wanted Andy sacked!!
RE: Mcindoe And Shuker......... Sucker is not worth worrying about. Bitter little scouse twit. Mcindoes a different matter
Come to think of it I'm exactly the same . Two or three decent signings would give everyone a shot in the arm .
Well He Played........ 50 plus games for us last season, so you can kinda say he had a huge part in us getting promotion. To play that many games in a season, in this day and age as a winger he did good. Now he is on target for possibly consecutive promotions with different teams. That is fairly impressive in my opinion.
RE: Well He Played........ Ran about a bit. inconsistant, little final product. When he was on song he was outstanding. Otherwise..Poor mans Bullock.
