Why are we naturally assuming that a bid from xyz means he wants to go? Have you heard owt to the contrary or does money talk above all else, come what may.
Not in public he hasnt he seems quite happy here. But if a championship side met pir askin price and offered him more money and a chance to play in a higher league he would need to think about it quite seriously.
I'm hoping the chance of playing at Wembley will be enough to keep him at Oakwell, not only the paint pot trophy but the chance of the playoff final.
I think leeds made that silly bid to try ruffle some feathers and turn his head at the thought of playing for a big championship club. But sam been the lad he his has just got on with his game. I think Lee Jay had maybe been told to mention the Connor Washington fee last night. Sam looks happy playing here but I think if bfc got the right bid and he got the chance to play higher he would and who could blame him that's football.
Don't forget there are Agents involved here. More often than not that outweighs the loyalty, emotion and current position of the player himself. Remember reading someone leaked the LUFC offer. Can't see it being us.
I originally saw a tweet from Phil Hay who covers LUFC for the Yorkshire Post. That's where the figure came from. Which for me means they leaked it to them. I'm not adverse to Sam leaving. I mean I love the guy but provided the deal is right for us & Sam who can stop him, but we need to keep him until the end of the season otherwise we would panic buy and pay an inflated cost to replace him in the transfer window. I don't think he's going anywhere in this transfer window.
