Can anyone tell me what is missing from this photo that is normal on a bus/train that a sucide bomber is trying to blow up?

People. but that's taken from the back of the bus. Presumably waiting for it to fill up before he set it off

correct - Who exactly was he trying to kill?

Forgive me for being stupid but it just confuses me a little that he set a bomb off on an empty bus.

    himself?

    People on the lower deck?

Or maybe the bomb went off sooner than expected and he was on his way to a tube station?

    by all accounts though

it wasnt filled up before he set it off.

maybe you might be onto something.

if he was aiming at the tube station but it went off (or didnt) early then that might explain why the police allowed the shot man to board a bus? just a guess

    Well, that's just my opinion

Maybe it went off sooner than expected, when he was aiming for a tube.

But, by speculating that...what about the bomb scare on the bus the other day in London? I was told the windows were blown out, when the bus had been evacuated...is that true?

    Erm ...

To the tune of 'Moonlight Shadow' by Mike Oldfield :

The last time she ever saw him,
Blown away by a nervous copper,
He had no Visa - was a bit dim,
Blown away by a nervous copper,
Lost in the Subway on a Thursday night,
Ran away to the other side,
He was caught in the middle of a desperate fight,
He got so scared he followed through.

    Verse 2

His rucksack was filled up to the top,
Blown away by a nervous copper,
With cloths, Domestos & a new mop,
Blown away by a nervous copper,
All he saw was a silhouette of a gun,
Yet again he filled his strides,
He was shot five times by a man on the run,
Now he can't sell the Big Issue.

    Verse 3

The Sergeant opened up his back pack,
Blown away by a nervous copper,
He found some dusters & some bin bags,
Blown away by a nervous copper,
His boss was angry & he started to chant,
Far away on the other side,
'Thats how we deal with dodgy immigrants',
Like the Nazi's dealt with the Jews.
