If Don Rowing and Barry Taylor want to offer Flitcroft a contract which the club can afford can Patrick Cryne legally stop them? I know that in reality he can if he wants but purely from a legal point of view would he be able to overrule the directors of the club? He isn't a director himself and he doesn't even hold any shares himself does he?
Why would PC do that? He's the man that gave him the job in the first place? Flicker has turned the Club round, everybody in Barnsley has seen that. He's done a phenomenal job, and I've got no doubt in my mind that he'll be offered a deal. Even if we go down. IF we go down, it's because the damage was already done and other teams have fought just as hard (particularly Peterborough)
I don't for one minute think that he would. I'd just read the thread about Don giving him a new contract though and people saying it isn't Don's decision (ie it's PC's) so used the manager situation as an example to ask what powers PC legally has to overrule the board on day to day matters.
Erm.... I suspect it isn't quite that sort of democratic board, tiger. Please don't make me explain, I'm tired.
No! Then I would have to scan them and I'm never happy with owt I do. Okay.... Patrick says, Don does, Barry advises. There isn't any voting going on, Get the picture?
