What a load of ******. There is no rule saying you have to shake a players hand, I would not shake Evra's hand either not cause of his race but because he is a **** and a cry baby, cry cry FA please suspend Suarez he called me a little black man in his own language. Bo ****ing ho, as for Fat Lip i bet Suarez is crying into is wine tonight that he didnt shake his hand.
crap. its ****ing true, sick of hearing about, far worse things going on the world, innocent kids are dying in Syria, i couldnt care less what that little **** does in a scumbag shirt
Do you not read the BBS very often then? I have no idea as to why you think its so offensive, please explain, thanks. Unless its the bit about him calling him that?
Nice post By "nice" I obviously meant "ridiculous, ill-informed and completely mental". I'm fully aware that freedom of speech is intrinsic within our society. Maybe sometimes it's just wiser to keep your fecking trap shut?
Re: Nice post Y offensive, i am not racist didnt say suarez was right im fed up with hearing about it.
I'm still trying to work out why footballers are such cry babies when it comes to name calling, it's just some words. I'm a minority in the area where I live, I've had a few racist comments thrown at me from people from a different race and the usual 'Pommy *******' from the white kiwis and it really isn't bad. I don't phone the cops, I don't cry, I don't contact the press, it doesn't make me angry or upset. I laugh at em, tell em to F off and don't really take it serious. It's only a few word, there's far worse things happening throughout the world. Footballers, the press and supporters going crazy over it all only makes the whole issue worse.
Thing is, if somebody racially abused me at work, I think I'd want to make a big deal about it. If it happened in the street, I don't think I would do anything about it, unless it got physical.
In the heat of England's top football derby one player called another player something. It's hardly a typical work place, things get nasty on the pitch. Referees are called much worse every match. I'm still trying to work out what all the fuss is about. Racism this, racism that, everyone's a bloody racist. It gets boring. It's no wonder I'm always getting told 'soccer' is a puffs game by the egg chasers, this kind of proves they're right. A load of fuss about something and nothing.
It seems that you break an opponents leg or elbow them in the face and the punishment isn't as severe as when calling a particular player a name. When alls said and done that's pretty much all he did.
I'm not sure that two wrongs make a right tho. I personally don't think it's acceptable to racially abuse somebody and think the 8 game ban was about right. There's quite a lot to be said for matching the ban with the length of time a player is out in the case of serious foul play/assault resulting in injury. As for the DJ, I think you're just being contrary, are bored and de-sensitised the same thing? I'm bored of people looking for racism when it's not there, but I'll never be bored of proven racists getting punished.
He's helped the media carry on this boring fecking saga. Had Suarez shook Evra's hand, that would have been the end of it. He didn't, Evra wound him up at the end, and the mirror have their back page in the morning. The sooner the scousers stop whinging over it (Inc Suarez and Dalgleish), the sooner this will blow over.
Re: He's helped the media carry on this boring fecking saga. The thing is, this isn't a football issue. It's a racism issue, something that is abhorrent and shouldn't be accepted in any aspect of today's society. The problem lies in that until you have been the victim of racism, you don't understand how it actually feels. And being called a Pommie whatever isn't the same as being called n*****.
On the 'how racist summat is scale' been called a Pakeha ******* (Pakeha is a term for white man) is, and they can call me it all day. Water off a ducks back. It's all just a load of ********, playground stuff. 'Miss miss, so and so called me a naughty name.' It's all just something to keep the easily offended busy as they've probably run out of things to complain to the BBC about Jeremy Clarkson or Russell Brand.
Suddup you old queen. Not like you to over react like a bored busy body with nothing else to do. Haven't you got a bit of frozen turf to cry over?
Re: He's helped the media carry on this boring fecking saga. How come the term n***** is so much more offensive when a White man says it but can be used in street culture by the same people who find it so offensive in the first place? I'm sure there will be loads of people saying it's all about context but isn't that exactly the argument that Suarez put forward? And why is the word black more racist and offensive than White? No doubt this makes me a racist too but according to some parts of society most whites are racist anyway.
Re: He's helped the media carry on this boring fecking saga. White is no less racist than black when used as an insult. Suarez's argument was flawed in that he used the word during an argument so clearly not a friendly use of the term. What evra claims was said... Evra:why did you kick me? Saurez: because you are a n1gger I dont see how there is any doubt at all about the meaning from saurez. He admits to kicking evra because of his skin colour.
