- BBC news website "40000 migrants expected in Germany". Note the three pictures... one in station 3 women and 2 children in foreground but look at the crowd behind - mainly young single men. Other two pictures - 1 man carrying baby in foreground and some women in background other picture 2 small children sleeping in the open air. All tragic and deserving of help but a continuing pattern of distorting the statistical reality of Genuine asylum seekers over young male economic migrants. In England you only see what you read and watch on TV.
That's because of the European countries dithering.if they had had a proper strategy the refugees would have been vetted and economic migrants sent back if from a safe country. But politicians nowadays are so busy stuffing themselves on privileges they have no time to make policies. Maybe Corbynmania will change that.
Not everyone in the UK is being led by the media images, many are supportive of the stance taken by the government. There was an interesting thread on this subject posted on here a couple of days ago.
Just in case you didn't see it. http://bbs.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthread.php?232244-this-migrant-crisis
Erm didn't you emigrate from a country where you weren't under threat to improve your quality of life?
Yes the press there really are "liberal fascists", doorstepping people who said anything at all negative about immigration. And the government as well, legislating to make criticism of Islam and immigration illegal. Proper "Corbyns" up there.
Jeez...Another one too thick to differentiate between a) someone who has worked all their life, pays their way, migrates legally with all the paperwork in order, applies and gets a residency permit in the new country and pays taxes and NI there ,not claiming any benefits and ... b) (excluding genuine asylum seekers) people illegally entering a country without paperwork, many with no skills to offer and needing financial support (housing, clothing, food and benefits) without having contributed anything to the country they expect to live in. Still, don't let facts and logic get in the way of your self righteous lefty moralising. lovely person!
I just thought that as someone who moved countries for a bit of extra sunshine you might have some empathy for people who move countries to make a fundamentally better life for themselves and their families. But no, apparently I was being a lefty lovely person. It's a shame you emigrated, the country will really miss your charm.
We are told there's no room but people with money can come fkin disgrace. If there's no room there's no fekin room regardless of financial status Apparently you can buy a stairway to heaven in a capitalist society.
You have persisently failed to back up your views on how much migration costs this country. I don't usually bother with it - life's too short - but you shouldn't be allowed to get away with getting on your high horse about 'facts' and 'logic' without being called out on it.
So a youg single man fleeing a war torn country cannot be deemed a refugee. Is that really what you are saying?
