He looked good yesterday. There was a definite difference in his play from last season. Give him a chance and let's see what happens. he is a proven goal scorer after all - just has to do it in the Championship now! I am not pinning all of my hopes on him, but there was definitely room for some optimism, having seen him play with some hunger and desire.
It would be nice..............but cant see it If hes good enough this season, why did he hardly get a game last seseon and why was he packed off back to Puru. Dunt add up !!! Different ball game playing a friendly against a Chinese team and a league match in the Championship But we will see, because obviuosly we ant got no one else if Macken and Hume have an off day
i wonder if the massive earthquake in peru when he had just arrived nocked him of the boil wondering how his family and friends where maybe sd sent him back on loan to satisfy his concerns and to build on his fitness and to bring him back fit and with a clear mind
Knocked him off the boil..................was he at any time 'on the boil' ? Only match I saw him play decent last season was the friendly at Rotherham.............end of
Well said Tinatyke but and a big but Y.N you are perhaps asking for an explanation about the actions of a man( Davey) who sometimes, I feel, confuses himself. Since his return from Peru I have watched Mossto in training for the first time. l I said then that there seemd to have been a significant improvent in his speed ,agility and overall attitude to the game. The guy was pleasant and took the time to enter into conversation . Generally had a pleasing frame of mind and was "acting the goat" with some of his mates and That is a far cry from last season. I just wonder if his frame of mind has changed or indeed has he settled? Time will tell of course but please, to those who critisize him, don't base your present feelings on the past situation. Give the guy another fair crack of the whip.
I didn't think we'd see him in a Barnsley shirt again, I hope he gives it best shot. He had the skill just ran around like a headless chicken.
Looked quite good The difference was that Hume and Macken were dropping very deep, while Mostto pushed up a little and pressured their defence more. Last season I thought he was awful, but he looked to have gained a bit of pace and his touch looked much better yesterday. See how it goes, I'm not expecting miracles, but there's definitely room for optimism.
Personally, i didn't see how Mostto stood out more from anyone else. He seemed to be better than last year but i can't see him being our 'saviour' or anything.
...............don't get me wrong I'm sure everybody would agree, it would be GREAT !!! to see Mostto and Odejayi doing the business for us this season. As said before...............NEVER EVER BOO OR CALL OUR PLAYERS WHEN THEY ARE PLAYING They need all the support they can get (nodding2fingers)
Mostto should be much fitter than the rest of the squad at the moment. He's just come straight from competitive football, played at altitude. Red blood cells ahoy! There's been no having it large in Filey or wherever professional footballers go on holiday these days.
RE: ...............don't get me wrong Fans who boo players are not real fans, Odejayi, Mostto, Hassell, Letheren,Van Homoet, have all come in for some type of abuse from the fans. Lets be optomistic this season and lets give them all the encouragment we can muster. The season hasn't started yet, the pre-season results have been rubbish i know, but i still think we will have our best season since the promotion year.
Average subs bench. Don't think Davey wanted him back. But with no budget, better than nowt I suppose.
His record for Coronel Bolognesi is: Featured 16 times since February 13. Completed 90 minutes on eight occasions. Two goals - the winner away to Alianza Lima, and one away to Sport Ancash, two minutes after coming on as substitute. One red card. It looks like he might have been sent off from the sub's bench that day, because there aren't any 'minutes played' next to his name for that match. So, yeah, he's hardly set the world alight.
