Apologies if been posted before, but I have read lots of fans' comments and dissatifaction on here regarding the TVs in the bar areas of the East satnd etc, and I have a suggestion to make.

Please feel free to shoot me down in flames if I am talking a load of sh*te.

I am self employed and run my own business, and would love to sponsor the Reds in some way, but can't afford to contribute a great deal of cash. Yes, I could sponsor a player's kit or something like that, but would prefer to do something a bit more constructive and helpful to the thousands of Reds fans out there.

As I used to stand in the Brewery Stand in the late 60' and early 70's, I personally would like the supporters in the East Stand to have access to good quality flat screen TVs in the concourse/bar/eating area etc. And perhaps other people like me would like fans to have similar facilities in the Ponty End etc etc.

Therefore, my suggestion is this. I would be willing to pay for 1 or 2 new TVs up to a certain limit, with the wish that my company's name be placed somwhere on the set (I live in Cambridge and don't stand to gain a great amount of extra custom from doing this!!).

I'm sure that there are a lot of Reds' fans out there with a similar outlook to myself. Perhaps even enough people to pay for a new scoreboard in the ground!!

If anyone is in agreement, let's try and do something positive to get behind the Reds and help our fellow supporters. If so, how do we approach the Don?

Thanks, Mr C, I will try to do as you say and post on the Tarn Team thread..

Big respect to you for the donation of sale proceeds of your limited edition prints to Barnsley Hospice.

I was just too late to buy one in memory of my father who lived in Mapplewell and was a supporter of the Hospice, and who died in December 2012.
