Suggestions re Academy and ground

Walking round Oakwell the other day I noticed how shabby things were looking,weeds growing out of the walls on the west stand some as thick as small trees,the outside wall on the west stand with old paint peeling off,I'm sure this wall was painted every summer untill now.My other concern was the state of our Academy.One of our board members said that the Academy was our flagship it is now looking quite delapidated with broken and sun faded seats,weeds growing between the seats and even thick black slime on the back of the dugouts,a real eyesore.BFC please sort it out I felt quite ashamed at what I saw,what will visiting teams think.My old mam always said it dosen't cost owt to get washed with water,I think Oakwell is ready for a good wash.

 

put it 4ward the citytyke or shefftyke and they mite add it to the forum of suggestions that is going to the club

 

An other eye sore on the Academy pitch is the one hundred seater stand built so that AFC Barnsley can meet the criteria for their new league,it looks so out of place and devalues our Academy set up.

 

Why don't the BBS members organise a day to go down to Oakwell

on a tidy up day.

The club have to fork out enough money on things, it would be a nice way of saying thankyou to P Cryne.

Just a thought like!

 

Chances are the Academy facility is to be leased out to a management company to run. Perhaps that might be the answer?
