I reckon these lads would do a job for us next next season what do ya reckon. 1. Tommy Miller (free transfer) experienced midfielder, type of player we need in the middle. 2. Mark Yeates (Colchester) creative midfielder who can play central or wide right/left, always impressed when I've seen him play and scored 12goals last season. 3. Charlie Barnett (Tranmere) midfielder, sounds good young prospect (one for the future). 4. Sam Ricketts (Hull - out of contract in the summer) Experienced defender who can play anywhere across back four. 5. Darren Ward (Wolves) Experienced centre back, did well on loan but struggled to hold down 1st team place last season at Wolves. 6. Rickie Lambert (Bristol - out of contract in the summer) free scoring striker in the lower leagues. Good prospect! 7. Dexter Blackstock (QPR) Pacey forward currently out of favour at QPR. Did well on loan at Forrest toward the end of the season. Starting XII Steele Hassell, Foster, Ward, Ricketts JCR, Colace, Miller, Yeates Lambert & Blackstock Bench: Muller, Kozluk, Anderson, Macken & Boggy
All good shouts, though doubt we'd get the likes of Blackstock and Ricketts. Not completely unrealistic though.
no offence but id like to see a better lineup. I know that Liam Miller from QPR and Mark Hudson from Charlton are available as is Lee Croft from Norwich. My Ideal Lineup would be: Muller (hopefully back to best) Hassell Foster Hudson Kozluk JCR Miller Anderson Croft Hume Lita Subs: Moore Bogdanovic Macken Colace Steele Hoolahan (norwich) Mcgoldrick (southampton)
RE: What No Hume?? nt My opinion is Hume wont play again or wont be the same player, who would want a striker who is worried about going in for the ball with his head. Wouldnt fault him either for it, rather be alive than dead
RE: What No Hume?? nt Don't be so pessimistic. He looked to be fine with heading the ball in training. I'm sure he'll build his confidence up again. I'm confident that he'll get back to his best, it's just going to take a long time.
RE: What No Hume?? nt I truely hope so, but its ok doing it in training, but wats he going to be in battle situations?
RE: What No Hume?? nt I know what you mean. But his attitude has been great and he really just wants to get back on the pitch, so hopefully it hasn't knocked his confidence too much. I'm sure he'll be fine.
Yes They wouldn't let him go near a pitch if it wasn't at all safe. If anything similar happened again he'd be more than unlucky and it could happen to any player at any time. My sister is going through the recovery of a very similar head injury and we can see how much care she needs at the minute. But we're told she'll be able to do all her normal things eventually, which means going back to the police force. Doctors and other medical people are exactly that for a reason, they know what they're talking about. Unless they have said he's not fit to play again, then I don't doubt you'll see him on the pitch at some time. It's all down to his confidence and if you hear him speak you'll realise how much he wants to get back playing, and is confident that he'll get back to his best.
