He has got to be 1 of the worst Footballers i have ever seen</p>

BUT</p>

When he plays, it makes rest of Defence play well, we look much stronger with him there but as i said, he's ****</p>

What do you want from a Centre Half ?

I can't think of any Centre Half as good as him in the last 10 year.

 

The thing with Darren Moore is...

1) He wins 99% of balls in the air
2) He doesn't mess about, he just returns the ball to where it came from
3) He doesn't back off a player running towards him, meaning the attacker is basically running into a brick wall
4) He commands the back 4, and B*ll*cks the players around him (a leader without being a captain)
5) He's got more experience than almost everyone else in the division, meaning he's wise
6) He hardly ever makes a mistake

Get off the guys back, he's done nothing wrong so far this season, he's been our best player and yet people still say he's too old/too slow. I can think of two games he hasn't played in, a 5-2 defeat to QPR and a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace. Were much stronger with him than without him.

One of the reasons he isn't captain is that he's probably going to play quite a few less games than Foster as he's more injury prone.

 

Simon Davey once said

Darren Moore doesn't need an armband to prove he's the captain, he's a natural leader, and with him on the field we can in theory have two captains.

Suprised at that, it seems like Daz is injured a lot more. Also, when Howard left I think the fans would have killed Davey if he'd given Moore captaincy because he had a shocking start to last season. Don't think it would do any good to change it now.

 

Moore is a big,powerful,steady and experienced defender, surely thats a good thing to have in the team?

Thats why every club he has played for the fans have loved him!! he's yo-yoed between prem and champ all his career and he's one of worst footballers you have seen!!! Darren Moore is a quality defender. What a stupid comment!!

 

He's a defender. Hence he defends. if he was a footballer he'd play midfield or up front.

**** me. I'm amazed at the amout of negative posts i see about Big Daz i really am and its always the same old crap. FFS look at what he does for the team and get off his back. Our defence is much the worse without him and for me he has been our player of the season so far. What do some people want? Ferdinand.
