I read that too on the tube- I thought the heat was getting to my head!

If Sheps has got £400k for Hayesy thats a brilliant piece of business.

Now, can we please spend that money on some admin staff. That recorded message on the phone system is still blabbing on about games last Christmas!

Something even more important to spend it on

The state of the approach to Oakwell from Pontefract Road is getting into a right state (I mean up the road from Beaver Caught). Nice fat dead rat there on Saturday to compliment the overgrown bushes and cracks appearing in the pavement.
Seriously, this road is not all that old and yet it is falling into disrepair for the sake of a few quid. Gives an impression of neglect. Details like this do matter and Mr. Shepherd could do with taking a tour around and seeing if he's satisfied with the impression it gives.
You can add to that the state of the toilets behind the West Stand. First time I've been in there since the East Stand was built and the bogs have definitely not been cleaned in the interim period. Granted there are some rare species of fern growing out of the walls but they must contravene some Health and Safety Law.

My dog killed a rat down there not too long ago

they must have a problem with em, i bet they live in the massive piles of grass next to that road. I agree about it that area, it's covered in litter and looks a right mess.

I think Barnsley Council are responsible for the surrounding roads, not BFC

This was a few months back

and it was pitch black, all i could see was the shape of something that looks like a rat in his gob before i managed to get him away. Not my job to sort the rat problem out, nor is it our Ringo's. Plus i'm terrified of rats.

BARNSLEY accepted a £400,000 offer from Scnuthorpe for Paul Hayes.

The striker, 23, rejoined the Iron in the summer and the fee was due to be settled by tribunal on October 5.

Hayes has not scored in the six games he has played this term.

Ponty road and Beevor Court are beautiful - then you get to the gates into Oakwell and beyond that it looks like one of those post-war apocalypse movies.

    If 400,000 Quid..........

is the undisclosed fee mentioned in Daily Star, that would be a awesome piece of business. Full credit to Shepherd, Cryne etc in getting what he's worth.
