Hi all, hope you're all well. A little bit of a story before I ask you for a favour. I started in adult football when I was 15 playing for Boynton Sports who were founded in 1952. I was a goalkeeper at the time but eventually migrated to forward and then now a centre back. The team was run by a close family friend and neighbour Jim Hogg. Unfortunately after being involved with the club since its creation Jim fell sick with cancer last summer and the team subsequently folded. Jim passed away in February, just before he passed I made a promise to him I would re form boynton and grow them into a team he would be proud of. If anybody gets the Sheffield star there was a big spread in the grassroots section about his passing. The goalkeeper on the picture John heritage was me. I can't at the moment get enough interest from players to re form as a Saturday side so I'm starting us back out as a Sunday side. The reason I'm telling you this is that I have set up a Facebook page. Search Boynton sports FC on Facebook. I would really appreciate it if you could take two minutes to simply like the page as it will help promote it and expose us to more players for the upcoming season.
Also if you fancy a good read on the history and what the club has achieved over the years visit www.clubwebsite.co.uk/boyntonsportsfc
Finally to read an article from the Sheffield telegraph from 2012 http://m.sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk/news/a-safe-pair-of-hands-1-4396485

Thanks for taking time to read this.

We will be playing near hillsborough at a place called Winn Gardens. Bit of a rough area however they are probably amongst the best council owned pitches in Sheffield.

No problem mate, all the best. Let me know if you want a friendly pre-season.
