Any suggestions? Thinking Button Mill?? Doesn't have to have play area or anything, just want proper (not cooked from frozen!) food. Carvery preferably.

    You know where to avoid

The Dodworth Valley food processing plant. Dire. Bluebell would be good if they tried serving hot food.

Button Mill was good last time I went but it wasn't on a Sunday.

Was very good last time I went. Carvery option and plenty on the 'specials' board too. Costs a bit more than Dodworth Valley.

I think you have to book at Button Mill (or Button Moon as I call it), last time I went we managed to get a table in the main bar area which is fine if only a couple of you, but for a family in the carvery area they said you needed to book.

    Got It! Strafford Arms!

Oh dear just realised they don't let kids in. Real forward thinking attitude that it is. And that's from a non-parent.

    Depends

Good for people who don't have kids and want to go for a Sunday lunch without kids running around....since you put me onto the place we've been a few times.

It's a nice place, with good food

It was a poor attempt at a joke with Fired, because I know she has young kids. In my opinion there's room for both, in separate areas.

Then this afternoon about 4.15 you can nod off in your seat

I've heard that happens quite a lot when you are around :D
