Now we are only out of the bottom 3 on goal difference and after another round of games probably in the bottom 3, followed by two tough away games. For some reason with the form we are in I am just not looking forward to Sunday as much as I should be and it could be worse come Sunday morning. I am too worried about relegation to think anything positive about a cup Semi Final which is shocking. In my head I’m thinking how have these useless c*nts managed to perform like they did against Chelsea and Liverpool and then play such timid football in the last few months in the league. Don’t know what Simon Davey is doing differently lately but it definitely is not working as earlier in the season it was looking good. How on earth have the same group of players turned into what they have become? It no good going on about luck and saying we should have been awarded a few penalties as you make your own luck in football. I know the reaction I’ll get to this but the league has completely ruined it for me. It’s just a part timers day out, that’s how I look at it.
Cheer up man - we're in the FA Cup Semi-final for Christ's sake. It's a chance to enter the history books for ever if we get to the final. You'll be able to tell your kids & grandkids all about the day Barnsley reached the Cup Final. 90% of the football played in this league is ***** anyway and there are no big name players to watch like Ronaldo, Rooney etc so don't really understand all the hype - it aint much better than Div 1 apart from the away followings tend to be a bit bigger. There's no reason we shouldn't avoid relegation but even if we went down we'd be a big fish in a small pond, win more matches and probably bounce straight back. We'll flirt with relegation and promotion between the two Divisions over the coming years but we'll never reach another Cup Final.
Think we miss De Silva far more than we thought - the previous bad run also coincided when he returned to Everton.
Dont worry RED I totally agree. Our current league form is spoiling Sunday for me too. After Bobby Hassell's comments yesterday I cant see there being any point in going. Davey comes out with too many excuses for me. I have a habit of predicting his post match comments. Its quite easy. Usually involves, we matched them, we were the better team, we were unlucky, on another day, we should have had 10 pens, injuries, and my personally favorite, we shall take it on board and move on to the next game. BALLS!!!

I beg to differ, its far better than div 1.. That 4 year stint in the pub league, has left me with devastating memories (play offs apart) This league is far in front of Div 1 no question imho.

He should be truthful! I expect him to be truthful and say, yep we were crap and its unacceptable. No bloody excuses. As for Hassell, he should be saying, we are going to stay up and put 100% into it and 100% into winning on Sunday. Not those daft comments he made. Oooo we cant get motivated for the league because of the cup and we wish we were out of the cup. Fills us all with confidence does'nt it. What a *****!
