Bargain http://www.nj.com/super-bowl/index.ssf/2014/01/super_bowl_ticket_prices_snag_a_seat_for_less_than_1300.html
As a once in a lifetime opportunity I'd probably pay it. Costed it a few years back when New Orleans were in it, was very tempted. Wouldn't mind just being in the city of one of the competing teams just to experience the atmosphere.
i think i would seriously struggle paying that kind of money, to see Barnsley in an FA/European Cup final. i probably would, but it would hurt a lot. that's the only comparison i can find. i actually find the face value prices more obscene than the black market ones.
We are going (well, one of us is!) My husband has been watching the prices for a week. He is a Denver Broncos fan and is desperate to see them. Last night he bit the bullet and bought a section 104 ticket (behind the N-zone) for $2000 - they were going for $8000 last week. So, I'm off to New York this weekend. Can't wait. Although, I'll be watching it in the bar, unless I can get a face value ticket in the hour or so before the game.
Many will see it as a bargain to see Peyton Manning add his name to a very elite list of NFL quarterbacks that have won the SuperBowl with two different teams.
He's 37 and missed an entire season a few years ago to have major neck surgery so would only be a Jason x7 style player of not being the player he was, age catching up etc.
