Flicker could always look to a postman and Uni striker to fire us up the table

Uni striker was Mike Turner but I'm not sure which postman you're referring to?!?!

Andy Evans, but he was signed by Bassett after Hendrie had left.

We started the season under Hendrie with 5 top quality strikers: Fjortoft, Ward, Liddell, Hristov and Hendrie. Within a few months we'd sold Fjortoft, Ward and Liddell, Hristov was out injured for the season and Hendrie decided he was too old and knackered to play. We played at least one game with a strike force of Karl Rose and Mike Turner with an ageing Don Goodman ready to come on as sub. What a dramatic fall from grace.

I actually cannot remember Andy Evans at all, did he ever play?

Hendrie made a lot of mistakes during his tenure, but losing Watson and Hristov to injury during the first few weeks of the season was incredibly unlucky. Signing Deon Burton on loan to try and plug the gap on the other hand. .....
