I haven't posted on this forum very much for one big reason. I get sick of seeing all the NEGATIVE comments about OUR team. What is wrong with you people. If you don't like what you see, why not join the other glory hunters and support Man Utd instead. The season hasn't even kicked off and some of you are already relegating us. Do you remember the last time Sheff Utd went up from the Champ to the Prem, they had the worst possible pre-season loosing if not all but most of their friendlies. Going out and buying players isn't like shopping at morrisons, it must be a very complicated business. I have been watching Barnsley now for 31 years and have always stuck by my team and put my trust in the manager. Simon Davey is doing a great job, he's the best manager we've had in a long time. Some of you slag certain players off, you don't see the qualities in them because your too busy looking at the bad points, ask you self on question, are you perfect ? I think not. If we go and win on Saturday and then get a draw or win at QPR, you will all be saying were going to have a good season. Stop been so fickle, get behind the lads and stop moaning. I'm sure all the players and the coaching staff are working like mad to get things ready for the new season and i'm sure all this crap your coming out with will filter through to the team and at the end of the day they are young lads and this won't do their confidence any good, we need to get behind them. I'm not saying we should have said the result against Wigan was good because it wasn't, but does it put us in league one. No it doesn't. So lets ALL get behind the team and get down to Oakwell and Saturday and give them some SUPPORT

absolute ballax if they do not perform be it in training,friendlies or the real thing ...they need telling and telling straight "NOT FREAKIN GOOD ENUFF". I am sick too...but sick of the Rose colored specs that are worn by many on here. Time to put away the social workers sandals buddy and put on the miners cappers and kick their idle arses into gear...like Allen Clarke did!
RE: absolute ballax I support our club. I refuse to support EMPLOYEES of the club who are not justifying their wages or doing their job as I feel they should be. I will praise success and effort and criticise perceived mistakes and lack of effort. Mistakes are being made, which in my opinion are detrimental to the success of the club. Players are not performing to a level I would expect. Pre-season or not, 6-0 at home, 1-0 to Rotherham and the other crap results are not to be applauded. To be fair though, I'll see how we get on at QPR in a game where points are at stake before being too critical. As a paying customer of the club I reserve the right to criticise constant below par performances by people who are paid using the money I give to the club. If you don't like that way of thinking and choose to think you're a better fan than me for being blindly supportive then fair enough. However, the only way anyone or any organisation ever improves its standards in any walk of life is through critical assessment and being answerable to others, in BFC's case, the fans. Patting someone on the back for failure and screwing up or wasting money, whilst claiming a handsome salary is not my way to improve the club. Players and manager's come and go. Only the club and the fans remain. I love the club and the town, not the players and the staff. I will cheer the team on, I will never boo during a match or yell abuse at our own players whilst playing, assuming they are working hard. I will however pass judgement after the event and once the result is confirmed be it praise or criticism. Thats the way I support my club and the way I support yet challenge it to improve itself.
if you buy something from a store and its shoddy, damaged etc, then i think you would complain, expect your money back even? when you watch barnsley then you have purchased 'entertainment', and if the entertainment is poor value for money then why shouldnt you complain? (and of course praise when entertained!)
suppose it depends how they played, if we didnt deserve to lose and gave 100% then thats fine, if its dire then complain
I'm not saying you can't complain, but why have us relegated before the season even starts. Macclesfield hammered Hull last week, that's a lot worse then loosing 1-0 to Rotherham. Lets just wait and see how things develop before we start putting the boot in too much. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but why base our final destination on a few bad friendly results ?
One things for certain. Nowt said on here will change owt.... Never has, never will but still no reason for not getting it off yer chest..... makes yer feel better.
