Ticket Pricing
For FA Cup games, ticket pricing MUST be agreed between both clubs. If the clubs fail to agree, then the FA will decide the price of the tickets, which is usually set at a mid point way between the relevant ticket prices. Chelsea's ticket prices on matchdays are in excess of £36.00 a ticket. If following negotiations between the two clubs, they failed to agree, it was possible that the FA could have set prices higher than the £25 and £15 bands introduced.

The two clubs have negotiated and agreed the ticket pricing as is mentioned in the official ticket details release.

    North Stand Allocation for Chelsea
As explained in the official statement on the clubs website, this was reviewed and for reasons of safety and segregation this was selected. Chelsea have also requested and expect to sell all 6,000 tickets allocated to them

    Ticket arrangements
The Trust were consulted and as it was considered that there would be plenty of tickets available then 2 tickets per season ticket would be okay. Again an extra catergory of the centenary society members has been introduced, who can purchase ONE ticket. There is plenty of time for season ticket holders to get their own seat, so there should be no necessity for people to queue ala Liverpool. Once tickets have been taken by season ticket holders and centenary holders there will still be tickets available for general sale.

    Ticket Priority System
As previously mentioned, the Trust are still reviewing and consulting supporters regarding a fair and equitable ticket priority system that can be introduced in time for next season. To date we have received over 70 emails on the subject. These are currrently being catergorised and placed into groups for further discussion and consideration by all parties.

because the official statement doesn't mention the FA involvement if they can't agree ticket prices, so it makes perfect sense, and is well worth clearing it up.

Fair enough points. Cleared up the question I had around what would happen if we didn't agree a price.

It was 25 quid for all tickets at Stamford Bridge on Saturday,

why would they want us to charge more than that?

    Thank you

A good summary which all seems fair, reasonable and well thought out. Seems like lessons have been learned from the last time, which is good to see. Most of us will be happy with that...

So Let Me Get This Right

Our club are fleecing us fans by putting ticket prices higher than usual and also giving the cup holders the North Stand? Ok then so.............

    1. What was up with north stand side of the west stand for them? Segregation issues could have been used for not giving them 15%, just like Liverpool.

    2. What is wrong with the usual matchday prices for the game? Another cup tie and another balls up by the club.

RE: So Let Me Get This Right

Are you deliberately not reading everything the club or ST has said.

The police wanted the Chelsea fans seated in the North Stand rather than the West Stand on safety grounds and are against segregating the North stand for what they used to term 'Category A' games, which this one clearly is.

The pricing structure for an FA Cup game is not just Barnsley FC's decision to make. They have reached a compromise with Chelsea over this.

as a number of people seem to be trying to absolve BFC from the responsibility of the price increase, What makes you think Chelsea wanted us to put up our prices?
They really need the less than 50k it will generate for them?

they trade at a loss! only Abramovich keeps them afloat-if he left they are straight into admin-they can't even fund the wages of the players from their income

    Wage bill?

If they don't need the money why do they normally charge away fans £48?
