I have been supporting Barnsley more than 50 years, but have only recently joined this forum. As a supporter (and season ticket holder for much of this time), I am use to the ups and downs of supporting the Reds. I, like all supporters want us to do well and trust that our Owners share the same intent. I’m not always convinced they have the same passion as myself, but I’m not so naive as to believe that They are just going to throw money into our club , because we as supporters hope they will.
I start each season with optimism (as we have to surely)and believe that we have a group of young players who have very good potential. However, we also need experience on the pitch to guide them. This is why I am more than a little alarmed when I read of reports (rumours?) that suggest Norwood may be leaving us.

I was perfectly happy and optimistic after the friendly. Today, not so much!

Welcome to the forum. Leave your optimism by the door.

Are you a happy clapper or a miserable old git? There doesn't seem to be any in between on here. Oh, in case you're wondering, I'm a miserable happy clapper...:):):)

Well I was sitting on the fence thinking,” give it time”. Now, having heard that Norwood is going, I’m falling off!! I mean, what message does it send to fans, when a supposedly integral cog in our plans, opts to sign for a club two leagues below ours! 2 days before the season starts! Unless , of course, he’s been told not to expect to be in our starting lineup ! Very strange and bizarre!
