Parting with Chopra. They have scored 9 goals this season from 11 matches, surely relegation form. So they part with a 'good' Striker, baffling int it (doh) (doh) (doh)

    To be fair...

The gulf in class between the Championship and the Premiership is pretty darn big. Although Chopra was a very good Championship striker, I haven't seen too much of him at a higher level. I can only assume that he really isn't consistently good enough to merit a place in a Premiership team.

A few season ago, when Newcastle were doing 'reasonably' well - they released Michael Chopra. At the time, they had a pretty good management team in place, who were very keen on blooding the youth up at St.James Park - the likes of Ramage/Taylor etc...but they released Chopra.

Like I said, he's very good at Championship level, but at Premiership level, you need a lot more talent, as the defenders and goalkeepers up there are literally in a different league. Even though Chopra will do great at Cardiff; sadly, we just aren't big enough financially to attract the likes of him to the club.

    Yes.

He was on loan here from Newcastle when he was younger and when we were in the 2nd Division. What's your point?

Chopra will cost Cardiff 500k for a two month loan spell - how could we, at the moment, justify that?

    RE: Yes.

Arguably Chopra ,played his best football for us ,and if we can afford Kevin Phillips on a permanant deal we can afford Chopra on loan.....not that I would want him, stick with what we've got until January for me

I'm keen to see Coulson playing a bit.

Only trouble is I like idea of Oddjob, Mossto and Coulson as late (poss impact) subs - but we can't have all three. I'd expect one to go out on loan.

The impact of Coulson against Blackpool in the cup ended up with us having a day out at Wembley.

Also won us a point at Scnuthorpe when we were almost dead an buried at HT!

Came on and ran his blood to water - ended up drawing 2-2. Funnily enough, Grant McCann scored :)
