surely we'd all be happy with this team?

Given that Howard is OK for QPR

    Steele
    Van H
    Souza
    Foster
    Kozzy

    JCR
    Howard
    Togwell
    El Hamour

    Hume
    Macken

Obviously Colace will get his run in the team when he comes back and then to be replaced by De Silva.
Steele verses Muller is not even a debate. Howard and Leon are interchangeable in my opinion.

I think that team would be battling at the wrong end of the table

I'm yet to be convinced by Van Homoet. I'd like to see a left footer at left back. I don't think Togwell is good enough. None of us have any idea how El Haimour will fare. And we don't know if Macken and Hume can form a decent strike partnership.

Togwell is better than Hassle in CM.

he's the better stop gap until Colace gets his chance and then Anderson.

I am not sure I agree

Hassle has generally played OK there - a few shakey games to start but once he had a few midfield games under his belt he did what he was expected to do. He tackles at least as well as Togwell and his distribution is definitely better.

The fact that Midfield isnt his best position seems to mean people think he is worse than he actually is there.

Not that I am suggesting he should be there in anything other than an emergency mind

Hassell is OK in midfield as long as we are defending as thats his forte , he was next to useless in an attacking sense.

    Agree with that

But So is Togwell - and I think Hassle does the defensive bit better and the passing bit, which is why ai disagreed with scruffy tyke's comment

Hassell looks very nervous at centre midfield shits himself past the half way looking to get rid of the ball as soon as he recieves it

    Nope

I think Hassell should be Daveys 1st choice right back.

IF Howard is fit play put Johnson or Toggers in the middle with him, that will allow Howard to bomb forward which is something that he couldn't do last season when Bobby was in there with him, AJ or Toggers can find the pass that Bobby can't, nothing againt Bobby as i rate him but he should be the right back.

We are going to be at the wrong end of the table anyway, we are not good enough at the moment to be top half. Too many other teams have good players and the backing to buy better than us, in several cases these teams will be fecked in a couple of years when their money from various outside sources dries up, at that point we will be in a slightly better position as our wages won't send us into debt. People need to get their expectations into line, we are not a big club, we do not have endless amount of money to throw around. The likes of Mossto and KO will be given a chance as they have cost a decent amount of money and not yet proved it( admittedly Christensson is a weak point in that arguement) time will tell. Expect a relegation battle at the end of the season!!!
