with Johnson out for whatever reason, Togwell still couldn't get a start. Ricketts is going to struggle to get back into the team.

Who would you drop for Togwell?

It really is a tough decision. Howard and Anderson have got to play in the centre IMO. McCann is knocking on the door of the 1st team (and the manager apparently) and AJ hasn't been brought in to play reserve footy. Agree though that Toggers is very unlucky, he has been fantastic for us, but he is only young and definitely has a future at the club. He probably accepts being on the bench more than the others due to his age. It might not be right but its life as a footballer.

don't agree about howard and anderson. Anderson is good but not defensively minded enough. Wouldn't ming Anderson and Togwell in the centre and Howard left. Worth a punt ?

When I heard the team announced today I was expecting Howard to be on the left and McCann in the middle. McCann is definitely not a winger. Maybe Howard on left, Anderson and Togwell/McCann/AJ in middle and JCR on right. But Howard never seems to play his best on the left and he is our main man when on form in the middle. Agree we will need a defensive midfielder against better sides.

in that case it has to be Howard and Togwell for me maybe try Da Silva on the left although not natural to him if he's as good as he seems he'll adapt.

    One things for sure,

its great to have all these options, instead of last seasons midfield which picked itself every week, with only Healy on the bench, until xmas that is.
