Very well done...What time did you manage?

I did a fairly flat one in 1hr 52 some time ago though.

Very rewarding even if running is boring as ****

thats very good. I got to half way just under 53 minutes. But then my time went all to **** cos I struggled. My first one and I didn't train to that distance. So I should have expected to struggle in second half. Sheffield is not too hilly. :)

    Well done but their easy!

    Try a full one. :pff

My best time was 78min on the old Barnsley Half course which went out to Cawthorne

I can still remember that bloody hill under the motorway.

I may do a 10k later this year but 4 stones of extra weight will certainly slow me down.

I'm thinking about the Children's Hospital one they have in Sheffield. I'd just like to say thank you to that Hospital.

    Well done again (casualty)

    RE: Well Done.

Cheers Crystal. I was just doing it for fun really, but still managed to raise a few bob for charity so was worth while. :)

    Good effort mate.

Not something I'd like to try. I get bored walking 200 yards to the shop, never mind running 13 miles plus.

    I only did the one

was stuck in inverness and running was an esacpe from watching tv.

Did a couple of 10k's after that but my interest faded. Mindshti my feet started to go numb after a mile or two so that sort of sounded the death knell for my running.

Still its quite a mental challenge to keep running for 2 hours or so. I take my hat off to marathon runners.

Well done again and have a good nights sleep if you can.

I take the precaution of wearing a HRM.

I'm lucky that my rest heart rate is still bellow 50.

I usually run 2 or 3 times a week with the HRM set to 140 to 156 bpm.

At the top of Pit Lane it max out at 160 ish.

It's the 4 stone of fat thats the problem!

    Oh, Just remembered

My main complaint following the race was... bleeding nipples! sore as hell for weeks afterwards Made the mistake of wearing a supposed "running vest" what a disaster :'(
