Eriksson to quit after World Cup

Sven-Goran Eriksson will quit as England coach following this summer's World Cup finals.
FA chief executive Brian Barwick said: "The FA and Sven felt it was important to clarify his future.

"This is for the benefit of everyone connected with English football, especially the fans.

"There has been so much speculation surrounding this matter in recent weeks and months, it was important to resolve it now."

Hope the press are satisfied now

Hound out another England manager, now they can really start to undermine our World Cup campaign by speculating on his replacement before he's gone and saying he should go now if he's already decided to go.

Only because the FA would not give him a contract extension.

The England team refused to do any interviews

With the national press due to derogatory articles being published about the squad in the build up to Italia '90 and running the running of a story about an alleged affair between Bobby Robson and a married woman.

The people who want Sven out are probably the same bunch of morons who wanted KK in.

There is only for one reason for wanting Sven out, he isn't English.
If we win the World Cup the very same press which have hounded him out will be the first to accuse him of jumping ship.

    Barstewards the lot of them.

The press wouldn't know a good manager if you stuffed him up their arse.

Yeh but we made the Semis, and might have won with a bit more luck.

Sven has nothing to lose now hw is apparently going after the tournament so maybe he will be a bot radical.

Like leave pick a squad on form rather than reputation.

Time for a Manager to be selected from the Sports Editors of the tabloids.

They can do a better job, you know. Time now for Sven, Glen and Co. to be Sports journo's.

Im glad that Sven is going, fair enough he as had good results but his tactical knowledge is very poor and if plan A doesn't work he doesn't have a clue what to change then.
Showed that against N.Ireland.... Losing 1-0, lets bring Owen Hargreaves on!!!!! Yeah, good choice to pull it back!

Lets get some passion back in from the sidelines. To be fair, the players will work under anyone. I've had the oppurtunity to watch two England training sessions and on each occasion Sven didn't get involved!

The N.O.T.W Were wrong to set Sven up, but in his position he should not have spoke about the things he said, especially the corruption part.
