starting to think it's thinking it's a load of absolute ******

best they could do was "peck" some kids on this morning's tv programme.

Peck? Hardly an arm breaker. Has anyone had their arm broken by a swan?

    Rubbish.

    RE: Having said that

    Aren't all marsupials mammals, surely it's just a sub-group?

    he'll be claiming crocodiles

are fish next, nasty, teethy, fish with scales, but good at making handbags out of.

    They are reptiles Stephen.

  9. Had a few close encounters as I live alongside the Grand Union canal

Well, the Aylesbury Arm of it. There are a pair right next to where I live who are currently raising 5 cygnets and they are quite aggressive with anyone who tries to get past them on the tow path. A few months ago though, futher along the canal towards the main line at Marsworth, one stupid pair put their nest RIGHT ON THE TOW PATH! It was pretty much a no-go area although we did zip past them once on the bikes but only by flailing a boot to discourage them from knocking us off. I have yet to feel what a swan's peck feels like but I doubt it would be all that pleasant!

Its the strength from their wings. RSPCA officers have had some right bruises from em but don't think have had anything broken.
