Not really. Even the most loyal of away supporters must have find it hard to justify making that trip.
It's a £80-100 day and that's if get a cheap coach down. Swindon not really a glamour place. Bet more do Crawley for the novelty factor. Few cheap away days now for rest of season. I didn't go, spent nothing but was with kids, washed car and emptied garage. Productive.
I have no problem with people not attending due to any reason - (CBA is good enough for me) Mentioned a few times that i only go for the day out with lads - Sad but the match usually ends up been the worst part of the day
Our lowest away following on a Saturday that I can remember (except Ipswich when Flitcroft had just taken over and nearly every other game had been called off due to snow). I'm surprised that we still get a few hundred going to most places 3+ hours away given we usually only win 3 or 4 away games a season.
They are lucky anybody's bothering going away with the negative tactics and **** performances. Can't blame anybody for staying at home
Out of the 269 probably only about 200 actually from Barnsley. All those sat round us appeared to be from darn Sath or players family members.
Yeah I noticed the same when we played Bournemouth last season Everyone was going on about how many we took from Barnsley but majority were based down south lol Which is not a dig as wouldn't expect many from Barnsley travelling all that way mid week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
