But for a paltry 10 points they can shift £9m of debts apparently. Shocking

Already been in admin twice before. Basically they could be robbing people they owe money to for a third time by taking this route again. If they go into admin for a third time surely a points deduction is not punishment enough....

It's too easy to right-off money owing, they should relegate any team that goes in to administration to the lowest division possible. or if the club has gone in to administration before, shut them down altogether.

They will never learn while there is no real punishment for doing it - far too easy to get away with it. I wonder when creditors will stop giving football clubs accounts.

No one should ever consider administration. It should be a last resort when all other options have been exhausted and you have to apply for it to protect you from creditors who can apply to liquidate you. It should not be a business strategy.

It's a court-appointed process, so you have to apply and give reasons as to why administration is required. It's not something you can do lightly.

The strategy for football clubs comes down to timing as to when they can best afford to deal with the points deduction in terms of potential relegation.

The Football League and FA need to do more to stop clubs abusing the process via transfer embargo's etc. It's a joke how Portsmouth were allowed to splash millions around on players they couldn't afford after the first administration.

the portsmouth one is still bonkers... only this season the administrator allowed them to pay brian howard and lee williamson 5k a week... the wage bill down there was 1.6 million.... probably comparable to ours

i had a business and after 4 months in admin the company got wound up by the courts.

pompey should no longer be in existance in my opinion.

we might not like it but it makes me proud of what Barnsley football club are achieving and making a profit.

the football league should use us as the example of it can be done.

yes at the moment we might be struggling but when we stay up this season we should all be proud and stick 2 fingers up to the doubters that are the footballing press.

as far as i understand the administrator is appointed to protect the business, keep it running and achieving the maximum possile return for creditors, the pompey one has numerous complications due to the previous admin period and the discharge of that,

read the folllwing article and others written on the website.... it's unbelievable it happened
