Doesn't just happen at Oakwell, obviously. After what happened at Deepdale the other day there has to be something done about this. Clubs should be compelled to install something around their pitches similar to something like you see at Wembley. It doesn't get in the way of your viewing but it stops people getting onto the perimeter track. Shouldn't be too difficult to impose something like that. Or we could just wait until a player gets knifed or so badly injured they can't playagain.
I agree, clubs don't seem to want to do anything so they may be forced. When a player is physically assaulted then its time to do something. Its appallingly that some fans think its OK to smack a player on the pitch.
Its this bloody tablet. I don't know why its changing certain words tonight but it is starting to wind me up. Its appallingly. OK I did that one on purpose.
I've never run on pitch never will, whistle goes I'm off, seen what I want to see, watching blokes walk round a pitch clapping or kids run on field trying to get shirts and boots off their heroes does nothing for me what so ever. If you've done something special like promotion or winning a cup it's back to pub with ya mates for mammoth session for me
"Just remind me how many players have been assaulted on the pitch in the last 50 years??" Not sure exactly but even one is too many and no matter what you say like it or not you are part of the selfish minority
The club ask supporters not to enter the playing area. The instructions are clear, simple and are announced for a reason. Anyone who thinks it's okay to ignore these instructions are idiotic and embarrassing to both themselves and the club.
