yep, switched off. but hey, he's been immense for us in the last 6 weeks. first mistake (I can remember)...he's due one, no harm done
Made a bad one in the leeds game I seem to remember where they almost scored (hit the bar). And he's needlessly given the ball away at the back a couple of times as well. Thankfully today has been the only time its cost us. To me he just looks like a leftback that's being played out of position. Don't get me wrong, he's done ok but I think hassell or mcnulty should be occupying one of the centre-half positions instead - alongside Foster & Cranie. He does cross the ball better than 'Goldy' tho but you just can't drop scott atm - v consistent.
The flaw with your argument is that before Flicker switched the formation to play with Kennedy in that position we were shipping goals at at least 2 per game, since he was brought in the defence has been much more secure and we have been keeping clean sheets or only concedint one (apart from awat at boro) Agree that it was a really bad mistake though - wonder how much his concentration had been lost by the Apparantly serious injury to Kelvin a few minutes before?
He should've gone straight through Bowditch but hesitated. Oh well, at least it didn't cost us in the end.
Very true - it's a funny old game. Although I may point to the change in formation rather than the personnel.
Kennedy should have, at the very least, challenged Bowditch......who actually did well to win ball and then break through to score. In the end, it didn't make any difference to the game.
I bumped in to a Leicester fan in Geneva on Thursday night and asked him about Kennedy. He said he thought he was an excellent player and far preferred him to Konchesky. Felt that Kennedy was frozen out in order to justify the spend on Konchesky and had little to do with the ability of the players. Great signing by Keef (shame he rarely played him...).
I think he was playing through pain yesterday. Took a knock in the ribs I think. Personally I think he has been totally fantastic since coming back into the team under flicker. His ability to find a pass with his left foot has been excellent for us.
Kennedy was just switched off. He thought there was cover and was taken aback when he realised there was not. Slow getting back to challenge. He who has never made a mistake has never done anything.
