    I've just paid my $9.99 monthly subscription for Willow TV to watch the whole tournament (cancel anytime). Unusual for me to be in the same time zone as an event I'm following.

    I feel the Chieftain Irish Pub & Restaurant, a mere 25 minutes walk away, may be calling first for the Champions League Final.

    USA will beat Canada. They won a few warm up games against Bangladesh thanks in part to Corey Anderson who represented New Zealand nearly 100 times across the 3 formats.

    It’s not my local, but they serve good tucker. I may call in at Enterprise Brewing Company on the way back, as I’ve not tried it since it took over from Cellarmaker Brewing. Then into my local, Black Hammer Brewing Company, before wobbling home for the cricket.

    They just interviewed both captains. I’ve been here since 1996 and they’re the strangest Canadian and Yank accents I’ve ever heard. Could be the Outer Banks and PEI, but what do I know.

    USA won comfortably as expected.

    West Indies plat at half 3. If the winner comes from outside the big 3 of us, India and Australia, I think it will be them.

    Home advantage and guys far down the order like Dre Russ who can change a game. Their last warm up game they beat Australia and Pooran got 75 off 25. Brandon King the captain is in excellent form from the warm up games. Strong middle order with Hope and Hetmyer.

    If South Africa didn’t bottle it every time I would fancy them. Genuinely open tournament though so should be exciting for the fans.

    Agreed. Tristan Stubbs is one of the best young players in the game. Klassen in that format could make a case for best player in the world for 2024 and was outstanding for SRH in the IPL. The bowling attack is as good as any other team.

    I think player for player they are the best team out there, it’s whether they can pull it together as a team when it matters.
