Davey's tactical nous is being questioned again but to me if you've not got decent strikers you're gonna struggle. If this team had Aylott/Parker Cooper/Currie Wilkinson/Hendrie Ward/Fjortoft Shipperley/Hignett up front, we'd be in a play off spot whatever the tactics. I'd have gone with Macken/Cureton today and 4-4-2 by the way, get Cureton match fit ASAP .
RE: both! Can't see where playing JCR central does any good, often he's stifled out of the game and more importantly he gives the ball away in vital areas. As for playing Oddy wide right I can't get me breath. I've seen Cureton play wide against us (for QPR) and do ok, I'm sure he'd have more idea than Oddy.
Even if Davey had the luxury of a strike force of Aylott and Parker He'd have played Aylott out on the wing. A lot of the players had an off day today, but it doesn't help when you're hamstrung by your own tactics.
