Can't see us getting a cracker today. 0 shots on target, play for a point, come away empty handed. I'm in a cracking mood today
Pollitt Wisemen, Mvoto, Ramage, RNL Etuhu, Perkins, Cwyka, Mellis, Jennings O'Grady A good old Christmas tree should do it for me. COG loan striker with attacking three behind. Etuhu to break up play, Perkins pick a few pockets and reclaim possession and a solid back four. Give RNL a run out if we need more defensive cover introduce big Nytanga in 2nd...
I like that Christmas tree formation.....especially when you get Wisemen in at wing back, as this is very much in line with the theme. Will he bring gold, frankincense or myrrh to the game?
Id like that to happen but we will play either a 3-5-2 with no attacking midfielder or a 4-4-2 judging on the past games my bet is on 3-5-2
David Perkins article in chronicle , saying new tactics to sit back in midfield and let them have the ball more , our best results last season were when we pushed the other team all over the pitch last season
Can't see anything other than a home banker today unfortunately. Got Forest in my treble. Glad to be proved wrong mind!
Beat me to it - for some reason none of understand Dawson is the first name on the teamsheet I quite like the look of Johnny the tykes team but it wont be that. Much more likely to be something like Pollitt Wisemen, Mvoto, Ramage,Kennedy, RNL Etuhu, Perkins, Dawson Dagnall OGrady Not that thats the team I would pick its just what I expect
We did that against Southampton's D team and look what happened. Very worrying if this is how we intend to play.
This manager seems to lack confidence and sticks with what he knows...he's going to have to come out of his shell at some point and learn how to include attacking players in the starting eleven.
Slightly unfair considering he's played two up top every game he's managed. The majority of managers only play one nowadays. The problem has been getting support to those two. We've often played a man behind the strikers in a 3-5-2 but Mellis has been ineffective so far this season and our other attacking players have not been fit or have been suspended. The formation and personnel should depend on the oppositions strengths and weaknesses. Flicker will have scouted Forest and he'll know where they're dangerous and how we might be able to get at them. No one on here will have put in as much time and effort as the management team. Opinions are fine but I find it amusing when people feel the need to tell him how to do his job when they couldn't even name how Forest are likely to line up.
I would go ogrady up front by himself, pack the midfield with either mellis or McCourt as the link between both
