and see that the best manager we ever had in the late 1990s has departed. He has given it his best shot in 2014/15 but this time failed to resurrect a sinking ship. We must not look back on this tenure with any animosity because we have too many good memories of what happened in the past. Whatever happens he must be allowed to leave with dignity, not recrimination. Whether he should have been appointed for a second time will always be up for debate but his lasting legacy for me will be the promotion season and the one year at the top. Never forget, dear reader, that after ten minutes in the first game in the Premiership that year, WE were top of the league... if only for a brief moment. Danny goes with my thanks and blessing, what we have seen this last year I believe was beyond even his abilities. Good luck in the future, Danny, you will always be welcome back at Oakwell.
