I took my 6 year old to the Coventry game and he didnt seem too interested. Does anyone think this is too young an age or do you think he just aint bothered? I dont want to force him to go but I think he will thank me when he is older.
Saying that, he right wants to go to the Derby game.

i remember vividly being taken to oakwell in the mid 70s as a 6-7 year old, lived and breathed it, can still smell the tobacco and bovril. trouble is i think, that theres so much now to entertain kids, media, games etc, whereas there wasnt then. football was king.

My 4 yo's first competative game this weekend.

Took him to the chengdu blades game and he enjoyed it but more the experience I think.

Probably a bit early to be expecting unbounded enthusiasm but since its for nowt its an introduction to football.

Got my lad a season ticket this season, he is 4 in December. He loved the Coventry game and he can't wait until Saturday.
He was stood up clapping, cheering, singing (the same song over and over again!!!!). Upset he didn't see Toby but said he was on holiday trying to get a lady friend.

    Mine went from 5-6 & 7-8.

Youngest fell in love immediately, eldest wasnt that into it.

Neither had a problem concentrating on the match.

Youngest still a season ticket holder - bought his own for the 1st time this season. Eldest goes if he really fancies a particular game - not always the glory hunter ones either

I took my two london based nephews aged 8 and 6 to their first game last Season - the Leicester game

Started em off with a defeat - which strangely is how I started when aged 8

They cant wait to have another chance to go though - they loved it even though the ref was biased and we didnt deserve to lose :) - their words not mine honest

No chance of their Dad taking them to a more local game - Obviously having lived in London all his life he is a Man U fan - just dont get it - Both West Ham and Charlton within 15 mins as well.
