Taking the piss: colq.
Lying to your customers in the hope that they will continue to buy your cheap, shabby product.

What you should do is... go tell your supplier he is taking the piss and tell him that you won't be buying any more of his cheap shabby products. I'll be going to an association football match on Saturday and enjoying the product.
RE: What you should do is... Well, so far this season I have enjoyed every minute of the product I bought. Even the pies. The results have been **** mindst, but if I was just worried about the result then I'd go watch Chelsea... on the telly.
Problem is........ .......due to penny-pinching by the supplier this time next year your favoured product may be made from cheaper components and languishing in the bargain bin.
RE: Problem is........ Damn that supplier, I shall tell him that I am pulling my next order from him until such time as he has spent lots of money, lets hope that this time next year he hasn't gone out of business due to everyone doing this or by him overspending. What would I do then, I'd have to go watch the aforesaid Chelsea on telly wouldn't I.
Yes. It's a pity he can't see that a small amount of investment would soon repay itself in extra sales. Shame he hasn't got a wealthy fan of the product offering to help isn't it?
Well, Apparently this happened and apparently something else happened and then someone said this and then they said that. Or something. I think its called Making stuff up because we aren't really sure whats happening. The problem is, something we are very passionate about is going wrong (results wise) but it is completely out of our control, so some people cannot handle that, they feel helpless and so try to suggest reasons for it going wrong or ways to put it right or they try to find someone to blame. Unfortunately, all of these things are futile and in some ways they are counter-productive.
Not particularly As the head honcho, the buck does stop at him I suppose. However, the fact that he is being blamed does not neccessarily make him guilty.
RE: Not particularly Yes, the rest of the industry is marching out of step. Fancy those pesky interviewees wanting paying.

RE: Not particularly Yes, they are certainly not doing enough to attract the best staff, they all seem to be going to other companies. I wonder if any of their competitors have other streams of income that our supplier is not tapping into. I suggest the Chairman has a word with The Premier League and see if he can get any of that parachute money.
Damn, hometime for me As we both seem to have differing opinions I believe that it is way past the point at which I should have told you to **** off, thrown my teddy out of the pram and run off crying. If you are at the match tomorrow and you see someone shaking a bucket in aid of Leukaemia Research it could be me, please feel free to pop a few coppers in.
